Redworth Hall is a fine wedding location to the west of darlington that I have photographed clients at many times in the past.
Most of my brides and grooms already have a link to the venue, through anniversaries and other celebrations, so when it comes to getting married, it's a no brainer.
Fantastic grounds, a magnificent Great Hall which dates back to the 17th and 18 century - one of the loveliest spaces to be married in across the north.

Angie and Marc also had links to Redworth Hall and were thrilled to be getting married there.
the wanted a a nice relaxing day, were not keen on posing and cameras, so as I often do at weddings I photographed a day of memories for them, keeping it natural and keeping mums and dads and grandparents happy.
The party was already underway when I arrived at Redworth Hall, it was already raining and wasn't expected to let up at any time - and that unfortunately proved to be true.
Angie was getting her hair done, bottles of fizz were already open and consumed while her large group of close family and friends filled the room with a happy buzz of excitement for her marriage to her partner Marc.
Marc is a quiet chap, but focussed and doting on their young daughter and was really looking forward to his wedding day when I met him downstairs in the bar with his groomsmen and Angie's father.

Angie's Farage wedding gown was sensational, a very classy dress with lots of detail and a long flowing tress and veil. It was the only the second Farage wedding gown I have photographed, the other was at The Crab and Lobster for Sarah and Lee.
She was ready in good time, so managed another glass of fizz with her bridesmaids who were a whole lot of fun during the day.
At the front of the Great hall, Marc was ready and waiting, but the first tear came as his daughter walked down the aisle, followed by Angie who was already in full flow with the waterworks - multiple tissues helped during the ceremony!
Afterwards, the terrible driving rain kept guests and the bride and groom inside, so it was time to get come 'conversational' images and I borrowed the bride and groom for ten minutes to capture some nice portraits too.
Onward to the wedding breakfast (thanks folks!) and speeches, which brought out the laughter and tears as is usual - the best man even left his speech at home and made it up as he went along .. stumbled a bit at the end too!
Afterwards there was quite a wait until the evening celebrations, so once again I worked with the bride and groom and their parents to make sure we had some important images for them, calmly and naturally, and then I followed Angie back to her room where 'the girls' were having a bit of a party with a few extra glasses, and as the only man in the room most of the time, it was a bit of an eye opener, but great fun when the dancing started.
Soon enough were were back downstairs for the cake cutting and  first dance, and all was well with the children filling the dance floor.  A quick embrace or two with Angie and Marc, a photograph with the bride (as I always do nowadays...) and then it was off home, with the sound of happiness and music in my ears.
